Asset sources, usage scope and creditsSheer cliffs define Tianmen Mountain, with a vast natural opening breaking through the rock. Looking up from Tianmen Cave, the steps, rock walls and sky draw together in a single view. From the summit, the scene opens out again, across the nearby forest to mountains further away.
The summit offers more than the thrill of its cliff edges: shaded paths also wind through woodland. Follow the bends of the rock face along Guigu Cliffside Path and sense the drop beneath your feet on open sections of the glass walkway. Back among mossy rocks, vines and leaves, the pace naturally slows.
For photography, take time for both the broad view of Tianmen Cave and closer details along the cliffside paths. Clear weather reveals layers of ridges; passing mist partly veils the rock walls. There is no need to rush between every viewpoint: choose your stops according to the routes open that day and your energy.
Choose Tianmen Mountain as a standalone visit. Verify admission times, ascent and descent routes, and transport against the current ticket options.
