Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon

In Cili, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon brings together rock walls, streams and waterfalls. Its glass bridge is only part of the scenery. Down in the canyon, the sound of water and the enclosing cliffs draw your attention away from sweeping views and towards nature's smaller details.

Spanning the canyon, the glass bridge makes the depth below part of the view and offers a new angle on the surrounding mountains. Unlike the glass walkways that cling to Tianmen Mountain's cliffs, its appeal lies in crossing between two sides and seeing how the bridge sits within the wider canyon.

If you enjoy waterside scenery, give the waterfalls and streams time; if you prefer a high vantage point, make the bridge a focus. Each offers a different pace. When choosing a route, consider how comfortable you feel with heights before deciding whether to add extra activities.
