Day 1 · Arrival and hotel check-in
Travel independently to Changsha, meet the agreed pickup and check into your Changsha hotel. No rush to sightseeing today: rest and settle your luggage. Airport or station transfer coverage, meeting time and waiting rules will be specified when the plan is confirmed.
Day 2 · Sandstone-peak views
Take a high-speed train from Changsha to Zhangjiajie, then enter the National Forest Park. Enjoy wide views of the peaks from Tianzi Mountain, explore Mihun Terrace and the First Bridge Under Heaven in Yuanjiajie, and descend by Bailong Elevator before visiting Ten-Mile Gallery. Stay overnight in Wulingyuan. Tianzi Mountain cable car, Bailong Elevator and the sightseeing train cost extra. Confirm the train, park entry time and sightseeing order in advance.
Day 3 · Mountain scenery and a waterfall-side old town
Travel from Wulingyuan to Tianmen Mountain for your reserved visit to Tianmen Cave and the summit scenery, then continue by vehicle to Furong Town. Stroll through the old streets and beside the waterfall, staying as the lights come on to experience the town by day and after dark. The plan includes a Flowers Bloom in Furong show ticket. Confirm the performance and operating arrangements in advance; not every program is guaranteed to run.
Day 4 · Canyon scenery and an evening in the old town
Leave Furong Town for the Aizhai Bridge area to see the bridge and canyon, then continue to Fenghuang Ancient Town and check in. In the evening, walk beside the Tuojiang River to see the stilt houses and lights on both banks. Cliff-walk activities follow the confirmed ticket. The combined ticket for the Tuojiang night cruise, Shen Congwen's Former Residence and Wanshou Palace is an optional extra, not included by default.
Day 5 · Old-town exploration and departure connections
Walk beside the Tuojiang River and through the old-town lanes by day, watching the stilt houses reflected in the water and leaving time for craft shops and local snacks. Shopping, meals and travel photography are your own optional purchases, not free inclusions. Take the confirmed high-speed train back to Changsha and check into your hotel.
Day 6 · Free time and departure
Arrange free time in Changsha and the agreed departure transfer around your return schedule. Do not cut transfer time to add last-minute sights. Confirm your flight or train, drop-off point, luggage and meeting time in advance.
