Ten-Mile Gallery: Short Scenic Walk

About this route

Choose a stretch of Ten-Mile Gallery's valley path and take your time with the changing shapes of the stone peaks. Combine walking with a separately ticketed sightseeing train when operating, or walk out and back as your fitness allows. The long stairs towards Tianzi Mountain at the valley's end form a separate demanding route, not a default extension of this short walk.

Suggested sequence

1. Check the Ten-Mile Gallery shuttle stop and the trails open that day.
2. Follow the designated valley path to see the pillars and choose a turnaround point to suit your fitness.
3. Choose walking and the sightseeing train separately. Before returning, confirm operating services and last departures.

Transport and safety

The sightseeing train is optional and its fare is not automatically included. Take care on wet surfaces after rain and rest in sunny weather. Do not mistake the Wolong Ridge climb for an easy add-on.

Use only designated trails open that day. Timings are planning suggestions; actual duration depends on fitness, weather, queues and connections. Unsurveyed distances and elevation gain are not guaranteed.
